As the Principal Contractor, we undertook numerous general works for one of the largest clothing manufacturers in the UK, located in Ashford, Kent.
The work conducted at locations like shopping centres is characterized by extensive knowledge of occupational health and safety on-site during the construction phase and extraordinary precision and coordination of the work carried out.
This includes eliminating hazards and risks at the highest level of control in the hierarchy, followed by reducing the risk through substitution, isolation, and engineering controls, and then reducing the risk through administrative controls and compliance with the framework for project completion.
In this project, we were responsible for demolishing the remains of the previous store and providing
- new electrical installations, in accordance with the current IET Wiring Regulations, 18th edition, amendment 2, BS 7671:2022.
- Lighting
- Carpentry works
- Plumbing works, as well as
- Finishing and decorating works.
The IET Wiring Regulations are the national standard for electrical installations in domestic, commercial, and industrial settings. They are essential standards for all those concerned with the design, installation, certification, and maintenance of electrical installations.
All works were carried out in accordance with the plans and drawings, timeframe, and planned budget.
