Polebrook, Northamptonshire 2020.
The specification for this project in Polebrook was to repair and restore the following:-
58 exterior windows,
62 oak lintels,
4 oak doors,
An Oak Conservatory
2 garage doors.
To enable us to work on the highest windows a boom lift was required.
For those parts of rotten woodwork, we used epoxy resin, which is more durable than water-based wood fillers and dries to a harder finish.
The windows were covered with ‘Ultimate Opaque’ paint which is high performance solvent-based exterior coating that produces a water-repellent satin finish and chosen colour.
Oak surfaces were properly prepared and covered with 2 coats of special wood oil to achieve ultimate protection for exterior wood with factor 12 UV filters to protect against the greying effects of UV damage.
The project was completed on time and on budget
